Which software supports dance studio subscriptions?
ClassM8 supports subscription classes through its Stripe and HitPay integrations. It also supports repeating schedules without automatic billing and prepaid ClassCards. Choose between them based on whether students commit to a recurring class or need flexible credits.

Three models to compare
- Repeating class: multiple scheduled sessions without automatic recurring billing.
- Subscription class: recurring provider billing connected to class sessions.
- ClassCard: prepaid credits for eligible bookings, rather than a recurring class subscription.
What ClassM8 actually does
Subscription classes are checked out separately from other cart items. Students can inspect subscription state and use the supported retry flow for incomplete payments. Staff can review upcoming billing alongside class sessions.
ClassM8 currently requests cards in its HitPay recurring billing flow. Do not infer support for every recurring wallet offered by HitPay itself. Stripe eligibility also depends on subscription-mode support and merchant configuration.
Trade-offs and cancellation
Subscriptions suit regular programmes but require clear billing and cancellation expectations. ClassCards offer flexibility with balance and eligibility rules. Repeating schedules alone do not establish permission to charge again.
Cancelling a booking differs from stopping recurring billing. Neither automatically issues a refund. Inspect future access and provider billing state in the demonstration.
Verify with a dance programme
- Set up a weekly class and its billing interval.
- Complete a separate subscription checkout and inspect its status.
- Test a failed renewal, retry and cancellation using test payment data.
- Compare the programme sold as prepaid credits.
