Gateway support is only the first check
A booking system needs both a gateway integration and working checkout for the exact method you need. Merchant approval, enabled methods and checkout mode affect what students see. Ask for a demonstration in the ClassM8 purchase flow, not only a provider logo.
ClassM8 records orders and payment status and connects successful purchases to booking or product access. A payment-page redirect alone is not evidence that payment and access have completed.
Trade-off: one-off payment versus automatic billing
Stripe documents FPX as a MYR payment method without recurring support. HitPay distinguishes FPX and DuitNow QR from automated recurring methods. ClassM8 currently requests cards for HitPay recurring billing; broader gateway wallet support does not establish ClassM8 subscription support.
Your acceptance checklist
- Confirm merchant country, enabled method, currency and purchase type.
- Verify a successful payment, order state and class access.
- Test an abandoned or failed checkout.
- Verify refund handling separately from booking cancellation.
- Review fees and settlement terms directly with the gateway.
