How ClassCards, shop purchases and attendance work
ClassM8 ClassCards provide prepaid credits for eligible bookings. The studio shop connects purchases to student access, while attendance records show participation in scheduled sessions. A purchase, booking and attendance mark are separate parts of the workflow.

From purchase to participation
- The studio defines the ClassCard offer and eligible usage rules.
- The student purchases through the shop and reviews the balance.
- The student books an eligible session, subject to availability and configured rules.
- Staff record attendance or the student uses supported attendance QR check-in.
Roles and check-in
Admins manage operational records. Teachers handle assigned sessions and attendance. Students review their own schedule, purchases and ClassCard information.
An attendance QR requires the appropriate authenticated student flow. A studio connection QR selects a studio; it is not proof of attendance or payment.
Trade-offs and rules to agree
Prepaid credits suit flexible attendance, but students need clear credit value, eligible classes, validity and cancellation rules. A subscription may better suit commitment to one regular programme.
A shop order is not an attendance record; attendance is not evidence of gateway settlement. Agree how staff handle corrections and cancellations.
Verify a sample ClassCard
- Purchase with test data and inspect the balance.
- Book an eligible class and compare balance and schedule.
- Try an ineligible or full session.
- Record attendance as the assigned teacher and inspect the student view.
