ClassM8 payments and Malaysian checkout methods
ClassM8 connects checkout to Stripe or HitPay and records the associated order and payment state. Malaysian local methods depend on the approved merchant account and checkout type. Verify actual availability rather than treating every gateway capability as enabled.

Local methods and eligibility
HitPay advertises DuitNow QR and FPX for Malaysia; Stripe documents FPX for eligible Malaysian accounts in MYR. Merchant approval, configuration and transaction type determine what students see. Check provider fees and settlement terms directly.
ClassM8 currently requests cards for HitPay recurring class billing. Evaluate FPX and DuitNow QR separately from automatic renewals.
Follow payment through to access
Use a test purchase to inspect order state, payment confirmation and resulting access. Also test failed or abandoned checkout. Returning to a success page does not by itself establish payment.
Purchase totals and attendance are operational information, not a reconciled settlement ledger. Review provider settlement and refunds separately; do not combine amounts in different currencies.
Trade-offs before onboarding
- Compare customer preferences with merchant eligibility and transaction costs.
- Check one-off versus subscription-mode methods.
- Agree who handles payment exceptions and refunds.
- Verify how late confirmation affects a cancelled or expired purchase.
Provider sources
Reviewed on the date above. Provider capabilities do not automatically establish availability in your ClassM8 account.
